Wasn't it just! Thunder and lightning and huge raindrops! Just come back from the Hill where the earth has been splashed well up the broad beans. Gorgeous now, though.

Startled lashing it down again, the allotment is water logged at the mo. The rain is bouncing off the floor and its going to thunder any minute.

The sun is out and were off to Barnsdale, It will supposedly get a bit patchy with cloud later.

Been cool and cloudy for a couple of days, slight sunny spells. But dry.
Forcast is for a warm sunny humid weekend.

So its going to rain then.

Woo Hoo just started raining

Nice rain: my fully fledged quails are outside: under some shelter. They object to rain: instead of the males serenading the females, they are quiet. :-))))

Thinned out and transplanted over 100 wallflower this am: in time for afternoon's rain.

My one and only Himalayan poppy (blue) is growing in a damp and shady spot and should soon flower: then I will do what I do with all poppies: spread some seeds in wasteground/sides of paths when out walking/running... brightens up the neighbourhood next year:-)

Greenhouse water barrel 1/3 rd full this am .. now half full. Strawberries starting to ripen : 2 weeks earlier than last year...hope not too much rain or a slug feast will ensue:-(
