Just to confuse us it reached 10C in the sun, against the house wall, today.

Yesterday was sunny but cold in the morning turning to sunny and warm in the evening. First time this year I've had my shirt off whilst doing a bit of digging!

Decided to don shorts and Tee shirt for the first time this year today as it looked so nice out of the window. After a short walk with the dog I came back in and was bladdy freezing!
'Ne'er cast a clot til May is out' my granny used to say and i think she was right!

OK, blue sky, tops of the trees are still............ is it safe to come back out now?

More importantly, can I begin to harden off my runners and courgettes? I was just about to, when the wind started.

I must go down to the plot tonight and see if I have any of my black plastic covering left. Had only dug half the plot so far.

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is... at the allotment, getting slightly wet.
It isn't actually pouring, just sort of medium-sized showers, but I'm grateful for anything that's on offer.

Cloudy today? Breezy again? I am happy. The greenhouse is going up today and it might cost me less in cold beer.

Love it when the weathermen get it wrong! Supposed to be cold windy and cloudy last few days. ACTUALLY had a bit of sunshine, warm enough and a tiny bit of very much needed intermittent evening rain.

It appears winter has arived early this year. Cold and bladdy wet! Even put the woodburner on in the greenhouse to cheer myself up, but still felt miserable and went home early from the allotment!

Chooks must be getting a bit sick of it as well as the egg laying has dropped off!

Its evolved a bit over the years and is now re positioned with a radiator behind it to act as a heat sink.

Is this really August? Feels more like November.

My chilli's are sulking in the greenhouse. I think I'll lay off the watering until that big orange globe thing makes an appearance in the sky again!
