  • Gorgeous photos, Burnie. And really impressive technique. Thanks for sharing.
Location: north-east Spain, where the sun is too hot, the rain too torrential, the hail too big, the wind too windy and the snow too deep. Last frost: usually mid-April, sometimes first week in May. First frost: mid-October.

    • I can get down on the floor to sneak up on things, it's the getting up that's becoming a problem lol.

          • I've had quite a few published in the Scottish Field magazine, but then I don't charge them for them lol.

                What a fantastic picture.
I've never seen a curlew. Or a rock pipit.

                Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
                Endless wonder.

                • Saw a flock of curlews yesterday on playing fields in the middle of Edinburgh. See them there quite regularly.

No idea why it keeps coming back as no fish in pond and I wouldn't restock with the heron about!
I suppose it's the 6 foot wingspan that sets off the cockatiels.

                    • My sister had a grey cockatiel like the left one in your photo.
It screeched and then screeched again as it begged to spend a few minutes with the cover on its cage.
They are much quieter if you give them a marble to incubate.
