                    • Lovely to see those Burnie. We had a white egret on the river yesterday - just briefly, and not long enough to take a piccie.
                      It seems very unusual for us to find ducks and moorhens on our lakes and slow rivers. No idea why….

                            • Some years ago we had two windows replaced at about this time of year.
                              The frames were crammed full of ladybirds.
                              Near Worksop on heavy clay soil

                              • What surprised me was firstly the combination of colours and that they were also clearly eating the apple.( I thought they only ate aphids!)
