      • Beautiful photo Burnie.
Our local red squirrels are a much deeper brown/ red with almost black tails. I looked it up and it seems to be a bit of a gene mutation

It’s a White Admiral . Never seen one before - it was next to the river we camped up at.

Well I’m 99% sure it is but am happy to be corrected - it did seem to have a wider band of white than in this link…..

Quite chuffed to have managed to take even that rubbish photo!

The bright line brown eye caterpillar, very destructive, check peppers too,you may find one inside the pepper,a few years ago I’d left a pepper for a while in the kitchen,I went to prepare it & there was a moth there when I cut it,I caught it straight away

                • Jane it doesn’t take them long to munch through those tomato leaves does it. I’ve been out again this afternoon and snipped of a few more damaged leaves.

I remember when we had those in Norfolk, they did a lot of damage before all being trapped.

                            • They need to be trapped more here Burnie - having said that I’m pretty sure you can still buy Japanese knotweed from garden centres Bonkers tbh.
