Well a good and bad week yesterday whilst walking through the wood with him in the corner i came across a pile of feathers that was the leftovers from a Sparrow-hawks breakfast but the surprising thing was the feathers were from a Greater Spotted Woodpecker but it is nature.
The good is that a Blackbird that has reared a brood in the lean to shed is now sitting on the second sitting for this year .
And across the shed on a beam where a Swallow built last year a Wren has built a dormy roof on the nest and is now sitting on eggs.
And this morning whilst walking down the garded there was some thumping noises in the green house and found it was a Greater Spotted Woodpecker that had gone in and could not get out because they can not work out that the door way is lower than the roof any way we sorted him out and he went on his way so a bit of excitement this week ...jacob
