I remember Tomper -who could forget him (apart from his breeder).
He was a confused seedling that might have been a tomato or a pepper. I'm not sure what happened to Tomper in the end but he's remembered (and forgotten) fondly.
EDIT Found him https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...our_92872.html
and the conclusion (as we like a bit of suspense) https://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gr...ver_93421.htmlLast edited by veggiechicken; 07-03-2019, 03:58 PM.

Have you tried mixing the seed with chilli powder or cayenne pepper? I saw it recommended and have been trying it recently. We have loads of squirrels in our garden. I quite like them but they can hoover up a seed feeder in one day and the wee birds don’t get a look in. It’s not entirely deterring them but the seed is lasting longer so think it is having some impact.

Reply to Solitary beesI guess. It's live and let live on the whole round here - except for muntjac and rabbits! Oh and f'ing squirrels scrumping all our apples!!! We put up a Lidl cheapie but nothing has moved in. Stood outside earlier and could hear a noise - a wasp munching down the edge of the insect box, you can see...1 PhotoToday, 02:12 PM
