I would never buy brassicas plants from an unknown source because of the threat of clubroot!

I grow various spring cabbage planted 6 inches apart. This way, I can pull every other cabbage for winter greens and leave the others to heart up. I grow Durham Early, Offenham and Spring Hero........from SEED!

I have had a reply from the eBay seller and the name of plants is Wintergreen

That's a spring cabbage that can be eaten as leafy greens or left a bit longer to form a head. He probably got them from the same wholesaler as all the other plug plant suppliers. And he's been on the bay for a few years and has good feedback, so it's probably worth taking a chance. Plus you can collect them from your local Argot or Samsberries so you don't need to pay for postage. It's just a pity he doesn't have better info and pictures.

Click & Collect isn't free - its just an option for people who aren't at home during the day to collect from a store - that's my understanding anyway.

It does say "FREE Click & Collect" but that may not mean what I think it does. You probably know more about it than I do VC, as you live in the UK and I don't.

It also says "Free Economy Delivery (Hermes Tracked)"
and "�1.00 Standard Delivery (Royal Mail 1st Class)" which is faster.

I've noticed that Eebay sellers usually have cheaper delivery charges than other suppliers, even for sending abroad. That can sometimes offset higher product prices. But of course buyers need to check where they can get best value when delivery charges are taken into account.

These are looking like nice little seedlings now, I reckon they'll grow on through Winter without any bother... glad I made that late sowing now!

........and here are my Durham Early seedlings, started 19th September - I blame Artisan for starting this!
The Wintergreen seeds didn't germinate - but they were ancient.
The small green pot has some Pyramid cabbage - sown 26th Sept.
