    • I managed to land a new job on Friday that near enough doubles my salary, so whilst I'm waiting for the money to roll in, I will be looking around for things I've been wanting to buy for a long time, but not had the fund to purchase. Woop woop!

I'm starting with a hori hori - one for me and one as a Christmas present

Procrastinate about going outside - I'll do that later
          Pick the Borlottis - Done
Tidy the climbing bean plants after the frost - Done
Grumble about the badgers eating the only parsnip that grew to anything - Done
Head up to the plot and sort out the garlic
          Have a beer

              Congratulations on the Job.
Not that it's any of my business, but as someone who's made lots of mistakes in the past, It's easy to quickly spend up to your new income (whatever it is). So setting up a new savings DD each payday will get you feeling wealthy without suffering in 18 months time from spending the lot. Of course you may not have my (lack of) personality that spends in industrial quantities.

              Good luck.

haha thank you so much! It was all a bit of a surprise - I wasn't looking for work, but encouraged to apply. I have been earning very little for two years, and only got a new job in March which is allowing me a bit of spare cash every month which has been great. I know that my first investments will be just that - a log burner in the front room for heating, new boiler for the central heating, and a car (new to me, but nothing too expensive). And a holiday to somewhere warm. That's it. The rest is going to be cheaper stuff, and I will save
Although I might save up enough to buy a plot of land off my mum back in Sweden if she'll let me :P

Another day taken over by interminable waiting for people to turn up, complete work or phone. By the time they had done so it was dark.

Wednesday jobs (rain forecast and again stuck at home waiting...)
