No show courgettes and cucumbers

I've had zero germination from about 30 'Blue Lake' French beans in two different sowings this year. Brand new packet as well...

I just can't believe that non out of 5 different varieties of cucumber and courgettes in all have germinated, especially in the warm weather.

I think it's too late for courgette sowing now.

I usually don't even think about sowing courgettes/ cucumbers until June because then I don't have to worry about hardening them off. There's loads of time.

I've planted 3 lots now and some still no show. White wonder nothing!!

Perhaps they aretoo wet Marb, as I have said before i dampen the soil at sowing and thats it till i see life

That's exactly what I did, just dampen the soil. Far from being too wet.

Marbs I've just germinated most of a packet of Marketmore - I put them in a small tub with some compost, watered, put a small ventilated lid on and left them in the blowaway - they all came through within about 10 days.

How old are your seeds?
Are you sowing them on their sides to avoid rotting?

One packet is old, the other a year I think as not got them to hand. I have stated already that I sowed them correctly on their edges.
