  • Here's my harvest.

This one's the biggest. Either a Musquee de Provence or a rouge vif d'etamps, got mixed up!

Here are some of the runners up.
There's more on the patch, but just little ones that may not ripen. Click image for larger version

Have cut back nettles and excess squash leaves to get some sun on them, & repositioned a couple that were about to roll down the slope!

Have one uchiki kiri to try, & looks like I might get a couple of spaghetti squash after all.

Considering the slug invasion earlier in the year I'm quite pleased

How are Humphry, Pamela, and the rest doing?
Well thankyou for asking after a Pamela.

She's been picked, the foliage started to yellow & we've had some quite cold nights. So today I picked Pamela and weighed her.

I will try and take a better photo of Pamela tomorrow.

My first ever giant pumpkin attempt, no manure only old compost and liquid seaweed plant food.

I had thought the bottom one was the largest but it turns out the top one was a couple of kilo's heavier.

                          • Only ever grew one once, carved it with the kids for Halloween and it ended up on the bonfire a few days later, wasn't as big as those though.

                            • Humphrey has been harvested. He's a very disappointing 6.3kg.

One of my jack o lanterns last year was bigger.

                              • Well, not quite a whopper, ours weighed in at just over 19kg. Started measuring for the lotty site competition today, so far the leader weighs in at 76kg
