I chucked these lot in one pot as I wasn't that confident that they would germinate. Saved 2013 - took just 3 days to show

      • My Tomato plants are absolutely flying. 100% germination from the seeds I sowed.

They're getting so big I'm thinking about putting them in their final pots and hoying them in the growhouse.

        Very early I know.

        • Just put my first sowings in the heated propagator, 4 of each variety.
Aisla Craig - as I like them
Supersweet 100 - got the seeds free with a magazine
Moneymaker - again an old favourite
Gardeners Delight - not grown these before surprisingly
Crimson Crush - blight resistant, just in case and also never grown them before.

            • My seed packet suggests Tumbling Tom to go in later, as I'm further north, I'll wait a few weeks yet.

                    • Ovi's Romanian Giant (new for this year)
Rovada (Had some leftover seeds but they germinated fine)
Black Sea Man (large beef tom - grows to be a large bush)
Green Zebra (Failed last year due to botrytis)
                      Bottondoro (excellent yellow cherry)
                      Sungold (popular for good reason)
                      Dasher (pretty solid Rovada like)
Black cherry (new for this year - excellent for cooking apparently)

Have you got a polytunnel or a greenhouse? Don't leave it too late

                        • Four more tomatoes up, so that's now 25. Getting closer to my target of around 30.
Still waiting for a few, but some of them are old seeds that may not germinate.
Not sure whether I've sown enough yet, room for another couple??

                            • My tomatoes are flying on the window sill. They're going to need potting on very soon but the only thing is, the next time I pot on it'll be into their final pots and that will mean them going out into the growhouse. Problem is its still only April. Hmm...
