Aubergine thinning help

I am umming and arring again I have a couple of sufmata rosa aub. plants and for once they look promising. However, they look possibly a bit to promising (sorry it is not the best pic. )



Should I thin out the fruits? Thankfully I have two plants so worse case scenario will be an experiment and thin one and see.

I'd thin them before they start dropping fruit.....an expert may be along later though lol

I've just got flowers opening on mine - I'm gonna get the paintbrush out as they're buried under massive leaves so the bees will never find them!

^^^Vix I was led to believe they are wind pollinated so just give them a little shake when you walk past. (I could be wrong but thought I read it last year from another grape)

Cool crop of aubs. why to thin them..they will be fine you just pick the larger ones or tender ones. ypu do not thin tomato/chilli/potato...then why aubs btw plant look fab

I thin peppers, I find that if they set too many at once they tend to drop them later anyway.

There are lots of reasons to thin. In regards to chilli I get away with thinning as I pick before they are ripe. I have on occasion had to sort of thin toms as I have had odd ones go funny. Also aubs get a lot bigger

NFG, keep picking baby aubs and add them to curries and stews

I pick chillis green all at different stages. and same with toms and potatos.
