      charlotte potatoes.
(A slight cheat because they were volunteers that I let grow until I needed the bed.)

      Garlic scapes
(which, it turns out, are delicious raw and finely chopped with butter on fresh new potatoes )

Oh, how frustrating for you. I hope you soon have some more that you get to eat.

This week- artichokes, shallots, beetroot and purple garlic.
No matter:the allotment is lovely, the tadpoles have legs, my sea kale has germinated and I am glad to be home.

First outdoor courgette, always the nicest!
I know that in a few weeks I wont be able to give them away and the rest of the family will groan if given courgettes again for tea.

Carrots! First time I've grown them, so I'm pretty chuffed.

Joy of joys I've finally grown a carrot that might be worth a carrot fly's effort- its even straight!
