    Ok changed my mind might give a little feed.

    Rusty lady and Aberdeenplotter, you both mention the trick of when to cut the heads.
    Are there any signs or certain points when you say that's it?
    If its just a case of saying ok that's big enough I can see why its tricky.

      Bongo if you notice the head starting to spread, get gaps between the florets cut it straight away. Otherwise when it looks big enough to eat.

        I can't add anything to that except that you will find that they will all mature around the same time. If you harvest a couple small, the others will have grown a fair bit by the time you go back. You may find you end up having to freeze or give away your surplus.
