How's everybody's sweetcorn doing?

Mine is starting to grow now....ok so it's still not huuuge but there is hope if it stays sunny till October!!

my sweetcorn started to produce silk as well.. they not out yet but i can see something growing on the side....

Mine have had a bit of a growth spurt, and I have the male flowers and silks coming through on a couple:



As you can see, only one has anything approaching a decent height, though, and even that one is only about 4ft.

Here's mine at the moment, will be harvesting some later in the week. Tallest plant is over 7 feet now!

Thank God I am not the only one at that level...
Keep looking at it and thinking I might as well pull it up...maybe today

We've just harvested the first two cobs today. They're not as big as last year, a couple of weeks later, and the plants themselves are much shorter. A couple of plants have been uprooted and stripped, so hopefully we can wait a bit longer for the rest to ripen before we lose anymore. I did notice tonight though, that we have more plants with multiple cobs - last year it was pretty much one per plant.

Mine are ranging from 2 to 4 foot with flowers on most. I'm really looking forward to tucking into the cobs.

I've got the mini-pop. Plants are about 5-6ft high but no sign of flowers, let alone cobs.

Very exciting stuff for me This is our first allotment and the first sweetcorn, have tassles on plants... just waiting now to see if we get any cobs ! Yippppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeee !!

I've had another look at mine this morning and seen some flowers about to open at the top of a couple of stems. Is that the male flower?
