Pretty much all of mine germinated but they are still less than a foot tall and with a worrying yellow tinge. However they're the tallest on our allotments (but also the yellowest), so it's not just me either. I've given them BFB and nettle tea since planting out to no effect, so I'm assuming it's just lack of sun that's making them sad wee things.

Like beans it is the cold wind that makes them yellow. Try a seaweed foliar feed (like Maxicrop) or epsom salts.

Mine are poor little things....sown in May in modules...planted out June...my biggest is about 6 inches....never known them to be so sad

I was going to buy some from the market but they're a non Supersweet variety which would mean I'd have to pull up mine and I haven't got the heart...

I have a dozen planted and are about 2' high but with this weather are not doing anything. Can't see getting man cobs if any this year. totally fed up with this awful summer.

The ones that survived the worst of the weather ( only 13 out of 20 ) are now looking quite good, but nearly every plant has produced tillers this year.....one plant has 4

Think I might trim some of them off, as I think just one cob per plant will be enough to ask for this year, without any extras

Although West Yorkshire has had a tad of rain, I don't think we have had it as bad as some parts of the UK. Maybe that has helped.

Mine are pathetically small . In fact I only planted them out cos I hadn't the heart to compost them . Two packets , 72 seeds and I've got 12 little weeds. Waste of time and effort this year

I can confirm the Epsom salts works on yellowing corn

I at least seem to have had better germination rates than some. Sowed indoors in modules, and 15 out of 16 germinated. I managed to kill 2 by overwatering early on, though, and decided not to plant another out, due to its extreme weediness. Bit worried I don't really have enough for good pollination now, especially after losing one of the ones I planted out to maggots.

I shall look into it Urban and Paulottie! I found a rate of 1 tbsp to 1 gallon of water - sound about right?
