I have never seen flea beetle on straws

Pollen beetles, not flea beetles. They're usually attracted to the colour yellow though ... I've never had them on the strawbs, but woodlice, millipedes and slugs like them.

Maybe you have baby slugs Binco? Insects all have legs ... six of them in fact
