Forking Black Krim

This Forking Black Krim continues to surprise me! There are flowers on the stem,then leaves further along; multiple forks, all flowering, and, since it seems to have no intention of growing upwards, only outwards, I'm leaving this wayward child alone



Here's a better behaved Salt Spring Surprise especially for VVG, because its her baby too!

I found a lot of heritage tomatoes seem to do that. Gow a truss, then start growing a leaf off the same truss with more trusses on that branch....

Mine are doing stupid things too. I've been doing some tying up! Every time I try to do something outside, the heavens open!

I have read this thread previously but not with any personal interest. I can now report that I have 4 forking tomato plants, and one of those is a double forker They are alicante, marmande and gardener's delight. I don't know whether I've been lax with pinching out armpits (recent weather hadn't made me want to spend much time outside tending them) but all forks have flowers so I'm leaving them.

Lots of forking tomatoes here too. I'm leaving them too it. Don't like to faff unless absolutely necessary.

My "son of" Golden Gem* (cordon) has gone mad since it hit the ceiling of the gh: multiple armpits. I've never seen it before

I had a load of plants do that last year. Sungold and Gardener's delight mostly, but a few others as well. Almost as if they resented being stopped at the roof.

Mine are doing the same .....I stopped them at the roof but overnight they threw out new branches and are heading across the roof and out the door.......never mind ducking I'll be crawling in on me hands and knees soon ....
