Twin tomatoes.

Hi, a while back i planted some tomato seeds 1 to each module. Quite a few of them have grown 2 plants almost sprouting from the same place like twins, I never realised this could happen. They are nearly ready to pot on now and I was wondering if it's worth risking pulling them apart as I'm assuming their roots are quite tangled to get 2 plants from each or just to sacrifice one seedling. Although how you chose between your children I don't know

When this happens I always get rid of one. To prevent root damage I use scissors to snip the seed leaves of the weakest plant.

What would happen if you left them and put them in a bigger pot...? Presumably you will get stunted growth and less fruit due to them competing for the same resources...?

Be ruthless, sacrifice one of them to make the other grow stronger.
