PSB has to be the best veg in the garden, particularly at this time of year when there's not much else about - which might go some way towards explaining its appeal. Ours is starting to get towards the end now, but the White Sprouting is still going strong. Why do you never see WSB in the supermarkets? They'd make a bomb!

Ooh PSB is the best. I always under sow mine with rocket, spinach, lettuces that sort of thing so you get ground cover and keep on picking at it and it stays nice and small not overtaking the PSB. Best use of space then.

I have very fond memories of psb from childhood so decided to grow for the first time this year. Looking at this thread I have taken your advice and put the seedlings into pots and under the same net as the cabbages and kale, ready for space when the potatoes have gone. How big do the pots have to be eventually? And how do you all keep the pests at bay, I.e. pigeons, insects etc? They are one of the reasons I have avoided greens in the past.

Had a terrible crop from my PSB this year. It's never really got going and now I need the space. I think it will be coming out next weekend whether we've had any more or not.
