You don't HAVE to sow early to join in; that's just me pushing the envelope. Normal sowing time will do.

I know - but you know how I get posts telling me how irresponsible I am for even suggesting that people sow early, yada yada yada.....think of the newbies....yada yada yada.

          So, it's a disclaimer.

I've been trying to ignore this thread but I've got itchy fingers and I'll be in Glasgow next week, so could pop into Rouken Glen and pick up a wee bag of compost

Just placed my order and have opted for a variety called Latah. It's described as an "Absurdly early red tomato. Untidy sprawling bush"

              Should be fun

Pfft. I think I had sown Glady the BNS and Claude the Courgette by Feb March. Over took the window sill, and had no where to put them. Toms did die though ::shrugs:: but I see that as their karmic destiny. They just weren't meant to be this year. I once read that all seeds want to grow. I stand by that, it's just that sometimes, the universe rather they didn't. But the universe generally has a compensation plan. May not have toms, but I did get a gladys who made me think and a claude who paid his way.

I'm know I'm ahead of myself but I've chosen my toms to sow - Scotia, Bajaja and Galapagos Island toms

No, it's just the day of the Winter Solstice. Not moon at all! I just plucked it out of the air at the time.

I've consulted the moon calendar and the next fruit day is Boxing day so I am deferring until then.

Aah well, today was a flower day so much better than a root day

                          What did you sow?
