At least they're fast growing, should they get hit - plenty of time to sow some more (direct too) again I'm half tempted to bring my toms in, but a major factor of "cba" has just set in. I'm sure the amount of fleece I put on them, they'll be sweating in the morning

I was going to say the same. What's a blight protection frame? Is it easy and will I be able to be bothered/have time to build one? Do tell us more.

Can't post photos on here as they were taken on the blackberry so I can only upload to Faceache.

But - google Bob Flowerdew's Tomato Blight Frame and you get the general gist - I've adapted mine a little and when I have the other camera will take some more photos....

It's going to get to minus figures here tonight, apparently, so I've covered the spud tubs with a double layer of fleece, and earthed up the ones in the ground, and now I have my fingers crossed...

It dropped to plus 5 last night, so I think we're out of the woods

Can't you right click on your FB photos, then SAVE AS to your desktop, and from there post them onto here? Bit of a faff though

We'd got frost this morning, but the toms that are out look ok.

Just got back from the lottie.. had a de-ice the car. i had earthed up my early tatties in the ground so no problem there, but the ones in the baths have a lot of top growth and ready to flower were just white with frost. Stuff in raised beds fine so was broad beans and cabbages. Gave everything a good water did some tidying up and brought some rubbish home for the bin man. Sun shining now and its getting much warmer again.
