No greenhouse, what can i plant outside now please

Raised beds ready but as i have no greenhouse or windowsills, (cat's and kids) what can i plant directly outside now. I need to buy more seeds so ideas gratefully welcome. Thankyou. (I soooo need a greenhouse)

Hi there furball. Broad beans, radish, carrots, the onion family members, potato's (main crop), parsnips, peas. Have a look at this chart, it'll give you a good idea what you can sow. You can also start some more kale, cabbage etc off.

Thankyou ginger, i searched for the planner but couldn't find it. I need to start from scratch this year as i have south facing long raised section of garden that i am planting as an ornamental kitchen garden. I have 2 raised beds in the back north facing that i am going to use for salad. Potatoes going in tubs and tomatoes in hanging baskets. As i am up north i usually plant out a little later, just in case. Thankyou again

I've this week sown some brassicas outside Furball, All Year Round Cauliflower, red and green cabbages, black and green kale and my first carrots. Peas I had grown in empty toilet rolls I have transplanted, but I've also put some pea seed between the plants. Weather seems to be warming up a bit, so they should pop up ok.

Thankyou florence, never tried cauliflower so will have a look at that as we love it. Peas will get planted but not guaranteed to get to the plate. Cabbages i'm not sure about but might have a go. Thankyou.

My peas rarely get to the cooking pot, they are chiefly there for the grandchildren to pick and eat! Good luck!
