Hi all, this is my first year growing Cucumbers so I bought F1 Hybrid to ensure some success, However, three out of the four plants are not producing fruit, although they have flowered. The fourth has one cuc of approx 4 inches and three or four more flowers and plenty of growth and green leaves. The three that are not fruiting look as though their leaves are scorched up to about the top two to three leaves.....what am I doing wrong?? They are all greenhouse variety and are all in the same size pots.
I haven't really had any luck over the last 2 years, but this year I have 2 plants going great guns. They apparently go in spurts. A few good fruits then a few go yellow , then they produce again. Keep them evenly moist, don't over water , and you don't have to let them get to supermarket size. The more you cut, the more you get. I have them in a polytunnel this year, it seems to suit them rather than the greenhouse (cheap jobby from ebay, greenish, no need to shade). I'm still learning! Feed 1x weekly with tomato feed.
