I've emailed you Emma as you didn't have my favourite on the list, it's 'Winston'. I only grow earlies in pots & containers & this one always performs well, looks good & tastes great. I also quite like Lady Christl, Rocket & Concorde.

      Ulster Prince

After many years of working in the food trade as a fruit and veg buyer I would always recommend Ulster Prince. Its a great tasting early/second early that can be mashed, chipped or roasted if required. They dislike handling too much and can crack when being lifted. Also the can be stored in the bottom of the fridge for a good few weeks to give you the taste of new potatoes in to a mid to late summer.
This year its one of 5 varieties we are growing on our allotment.
