It's here!!!!!
My first seedling has popped it's head above the compost and is bravely showing the way for all the other seeds to come
.
It's a leek!
Mind you, the look on my poor OHs face was priceless when I shouted "We have a leek" - he had planned an afternoon outside with Ciggy, our battered, 50yr old Series 2 Landy which he is restoring, and suddenly saw his afternoon of oil and diesel being replaced with an afternoon of plumbing and water
.
Wrong sort of leak darling
.
Keep peering into the chilli and sweet pepper propogators - no sign as yet but they were sown the same day as the Leeks and, according to the seed packet, require the same temperature to germinate, so any time now
.
Regards, a very excited Reet.
