OK, I finally got round to measuring it (OH had stolen my tape measure and denied having it, but it 'turned up' in his transit, hmmm!). Anyhoo, here it is. It's a whopper, for a Cobnut!

sorry for not answering sooner quark1,it is a butternut,it has now gone the butternut colour,he buys a supermarket 1 every year just for the seeds,this year he got a load of part composted leaves,compete with tiny worms,this was spread out all around the plants,the council come in the autumn and put them where we can all help ourselves,and wood chip for the pathsOriginally posted by quark1 View Post,
