I started my garlic off from some sweet chinese garlic that I bought from the market greengrocers over 2 years ago and have been cultivating this each year.
According to the experts, this should be a fully acclimatised strain now for my location and soil type and I must admit it's got better each year.
I have over 200 plants happily growing at present. Enough to do plaits and jars of both minced garlic and garlic pearls in white wine vinegar, to supply family and friends for a year.

- the fridge should be cold enough though. Got about 30 cloves in myself, and growing nicely, but reading this, I'm beginning to wish I had a few more! Love the garlic plaits pressie idea
