Marb, I hope you don't mind my saying but that pot is too small, for all the plants in there. It also looks like you didn't pinch out the growing tip to make them bushier..
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Not something I grow myself but they look healthy enough to me. My mum was saying last week that hers are still not as tall as normal with the few early flowers having short stems - she was blaming the weather?
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will have some better insight but thought it might be worth mentioning x

The pot is def big enough. It's nothing to do with the size as I have seen healthy sweet peas growing in smaller pots. And I indeed did pinch them out when they were first growing in earlier Spring.Originally posted by bramble View PostMarb, I hope you don't mind my saying but that pot is too small, for all the plants in there. I don't know what size your pot is Marb or how tall your supports are, but the smallest pot I grow sweet peas in is 50cm diameter, with really long minimum 6ft canes or mesh etc for them to climb up.
If you are able to untangle any stems I would try kind of layering them and twining the stems around the outside of the sticks to encourage sideshoots and more flowers.
Good luck
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
