    But in sunny, warm weather it's simple to hand pollinate the courgettes. They're a lot less fiddly than chilli flowers!

    I've got a number of courgettes left on my (one) plant, but they've stopped growing due to the temperature and light levels. That's alright, I can use them as 'mini-courgettes'
    Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

      Well, hand pollinating them doesn't work as you can see from my results. 2 other plants in large containers had to be binned ​​​​​​

        Courgettes are not always very self-fertile. Cross-pollination, with pollen take from a different plant, is usually more reliable.

          Ok, I did take the pollen from the other plant though.
