  • Is it too late to plant these carrots ?

I sowed these carrots but haven't got round to planting out yet for fear of the snails getting them yet again. It's the same every time as they completely eat the foliage. Now they are a bit more robust, is it not too late to pant out if fed with blood fish bone to boost them ?

    Thanks.

BTW I am still getting the annoying "please upload at least 1 photo" when I have just uploaded an image.

They'll grow okay, but you'll end up with very twisted roots from leaving them in pots for so long. Some of those modules also need thinning badly.

I will plant them out as they are and they should push themselves apart like Beetroot, Spring onions etc

Clusters of two or three will do that. I count 6 or more in some of those modules. That's too many, especially this late in the year. Plant them as they are and you will be lucky if they reach pencil thickness.

Easiest way to separate them marb is to gently drop the seedlings once they watered and are out of their container.
Totally agree with Ameno about them being too close. Please thin them out or you will be heading for more dissapointment.

The trouble is I don't have much space in the garden border to spread them out.

After thinning them you could pop them into a bucket. I grow carrots and lots of other veg in Wickes builders buckets.
