                    • Today I have harvested, greengages, runner beans, dwarf and climbing French beans, a couple of courgettes, aubergines, cucumbers and cherry tomatoes.

What will you be doing with your mirabelles Nicos? I am thinking chutney and jam for my greengages, I really can't eat many more!

                      • Peanut - I have a load of mirabelle liquor from last year, so don’t want any more.
I made jams and chutney with last year’s from the freezer. I’ve just made clafoutis to freeze .
I’ll probably end up freezing about 20 kg and give the rest away tbh.
I do keep ‘pill popping’ them but there comes a limit doesn’t there At this rate I’ll be hunting out my Imodium tablets…

                          • Another dozen cucumbers. Note to self:- if only one of you actually eats cucumbers (Ok, Baily the Labrador is quite fond of them in hot weather), then you really don't need five plants.
Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)
