Tagetes marigolds (rather than calendula ones). I’ve just learnt there are two types and my other half is massively allergic to calendula so have never used marigolds for companion planting. But I think this should be fine…!
And climbing green beans which I’ve never grown before (only bush beans)

I have sown my last attempt with my Tom thumb and Gustav's salad lettuces, ok so they expired in 2020 but seeds can't read packets! Also sowed webbs wonderful, riccia rosso da taglio, lollo rosso and moonred, all exp 2022

This is my year of clearing out as many of my old seeds as possible, there's quite a lot. No germination after 2 or 3 attempts and they're finally binned. I have never been so ruthless

Today I sowed twelve sweetcorn goldcrest (I might sow some more tomorrow,twelve isn’t many I’m thinking & sunflowers) also sowed a tray of about twenty broccoli seeds

A trip to the GC is in the offing after the Bank Holiday then.

I'd like to grow purple CFB. Can anyone recommend a good one? I've only ever grown green ones till now and always miss some beans in among the foliage.

mothhawk I have grown cfb blauhilde for years, always does well with lots of beans and this is year I am growing my first dwarf purple called Celine.

MH I've been growing Blauhilde CFB since 2019 saving the seeds from year to year they have purple flowers and pods.

Does Blauhilde taste good?

Peanut, I don't grow DFB because the slugs always munch the ends where they are near the ground.

We find Blauhilde a tasty bean I even stopped growing other varieties.
