  • 1,75 kg of Casa Blanca potatoes from one plant. They are doing well this year. 1 Year Round lettuce and one cucumber.

            • Gardener's Delight and Cappricia tomatoes.

              They are getting better after a disappointing first picking. I think the very early ones have just taken too long to mature. I guess fruit is better grown quickly.
              I live in a part of the UK with very mild winters. Please take this into account before thinking "if he is sowing those now...."

              • A few more beetroot. They have all bolted, very disappointed and the rest are too small to bother lifting. Will need to sow more beetroot at the weekend.

                          i have problems with slug damage, but thankfully this year it has been fairly dry as they have been ripening, so slug losses are less than 25%.

                          I'm very fortunate with bird damage: I seem not to ever get any. I've only ever known birds to take cherries where I am; they never seem to touch anything else.
