Gooseberries and another melon.
Also 1.2kg of green tomatoes, from a plant which had blight. I shall have to make green tomato soup from them.

Some varieties can be sown around March for a June picking, all others need sowing no earlier than early July, for a late summer/autumn picking (they'll stand over winter in the ground, too).
They can also bolt if you are growing them too close together. They don't need huge spacing, though. 2-3 inches or so is usually enough.Last edited by ameno; 29-07-2021, 01:34 PM.
