That’s funny good you can get in there,my melon leaves were looking a bit yellow I gave them a feed yesterday,fertilisers getting low here now,i haven’t been to the garden centre for months.

I managed to get 4 gherkins out. I had to tie the baby plums to one side and lean through to a very hard to get gherkin.
I have also spotted an almost ripe tomato that is well over half fist sized. I have already had several baby plums. They just taste so much better than the supermarket ones the seeds came from.
I will find out what the big ones taste like in a few days.

I’ve had my worst year ever for blight, lost my entire crop in July. Normally I don’t see it until much later in the season.

What’s weird is I also grow potatoes and I’ve literally never seen blight on those. Are most potato varieties blight resistant these days or have I just been lucky?

I’ve never had a problem with blight & potatoes either (I remember it did happen once years ago) but it is quite normal here to have a few tomato plants with blight,maybe because I’ve usually cut all the potato leaves off by the time it strikes. I’ve never lost an entire crop,do you have all the plants in the same area,spread them out if you can with different plants,it’s too easy for pests & disease when all the plants are next to each other.
