No gardening time on Monday and it rained most of yesterday and some of today.
Harvested lettuce, salad leaves, carrots and leeks and took some photos this morning (1st of month) but not much chance to do anything else.

Something (birds?) has been pulling out the sweet william seedlings so I replanted them and put up a net over the trays.

Had an appointment at 11am which was supposed to only take a few minutes. The man didn't arrive and didn't let me know he wasn't coming until nearly 2.30, by which time it was too late to go to the allotment.

No gardening time today (it rained anyway) and weather does not look helpful tomorrow either.

Rained here all day yesterday & most of today,very windy here,I need to do a few garden jobs when it’s dry,pruning mainly but there’s always something else,like the rest of the onion sets that need planting & a few crocus I got for my birthday the other day (I got a little hamper with two packets of seeds Alicante tomato & white Lisbon spring onions,two little pots,gardening gloves,bamboo travel mug,coffee sachet & Kit Kat,pen & a few wooden labels,little hand cream,bar of galaxy & the bulbs. It was all in shredded cardboard which hides things & then you find things hidden & it’s quite exciting,the only thing I’ve used so far is the galaxy it’s all gone

Managed to find a dry slot yesterday and raked up quite a few leaves at the allotment and harvested 2 parsnips. Otherwise a combination of weather and waiting for people who don't come/phone when they say they will has meant gardening has been impossible.

No gardening time today, and more waiting for Godot (Godot never came..) tomorrow.

Horribly cold, damp and drizzly day today and not likely to be much better tomorrow. Unless things improve I am having a weekend off gardening!

As expected nothing got done over the weekend. Today I managed 2 trips to the allotment, the first to check everywhere and pick up some of the dead brassica leaves, and the second with my litter picker as there was a fair amount of rubbish in the hedge. I collected half a bin bag full just on the walk to the allotment, the plot itself and the walk back. I don't understand why people think it is acceptable to drop litter, particularly as I passed 3 litter bins on my short journey.

Also harvested some carrots.

I was hoping to be able to paint the fence during this "dry" spell, but everything is far too wet.
