Monday and Tuesday jobs
Apart from doing a little deadheading at 7am this morning, the plan is just to keep everything watered as well as I can. Everything else will have to wait, although hopefully I will be able to harvest a handful of peas. - done the watering. Too hot to pick peas but I did rescue a couple of cucumbers from the greenhouse and grab a courgette from the allotment. Also netted a couple of baby melons.

Really sorry to hear about the Covid, Penellype. Just keeping everything watered is plenty enough given the weather and Covid. Take care.

Friday jobs
Continue sorting strawberry plants - done some
Weeding and horsetail - done some
Watering - done
Harvest tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans, blueberries, blackcurrants, the first courgette and the last cherry - done except blackcurrants
Also covered the smaller melon plant with a temporary net to stop the cat using the bed as a litter tray.
This week has been a disaster - I was going to use the cooler weather to catch up, trim hedges and generally get prepared for the heatwave. However, I have been trapped in the house waiting for phone calls that didn't arrive and I got Covid (no idea where from) and have therefore had no energy and been unable to do all but the absolute essentials plus a few bits that required no energy. I still feel very weak, so I am taking things easy.

However all of these probably require more energy than I have and it is likely to be too hot.
