Yellow courgette varieties

Thinking ahead to next year and buying new seeds this winter, can anybody recommend a good variety of yellow courgette. I'd like to grow some for a change but have heard the skins can be quite tough so any info would be welcome.

Have tried them a couple of times but never with much luck, they don't seem to produce anywhere as near as many as the green varieties for me, even when planted next to each other and treated the same. Not sure of the variety though, sorry.

I grew Goldrush this year and I've had loads of fruits from it. Every now and then I've turned round and found an alarmingly large, bright yellow marrow!

The skins are really thin - thinner than my green courgettes - so I'd certainly recommend this variety.

I also grew goldrush this year, and by golly has it produced. It split near the start and started growing 3 ways; all of which produced courgettes. Skin definitely not an issue.

I've tried Jemmer - I can't compare it to the green types as I grew it in a container, but there's nothing wrong with the fruit. The skins aren't thick and the flavour is ok.

For top yield I would recommend a funny little shaped summer squash called Sunburst... tastes just like a yellow courgette but looks mad!

Can't remmber the name of it as it was from last year but it was an F1 & it's self seeded this year & has turned into a monster!!The fruits are slightly stubbier than the original but equally as tasty!We were for a while getting anywhere between 3-6 a day from the one plant & then one day I decided to have a good root around under the leaves(it has trailed so much it's overtaken the Dillis pumpkin!)& found 14 courgettes on the one plant!!So I guess if you like the challenge of lots of courgettes then go for it!!I'm trying for the same next year!

I'd go for gold rush too. They've always done ok for me. Didn't grow them this year though. I gave the rest of the seeds to my son.

I'm trying to leave my last few on to produce seeds at the mo; if it works then I'll have some to send. I used my last few this year.

I tried Orelia F1 this year. With the obvious proviso that my example is just one plant and in a poor year... I wouldn't bother again. I had two 'ok-ish' courgetttes and the rest have rotted before reaching an edible size.

I grew Gold Rush this year. They were pretty good, although hard to tell with the weather as they got mildew and stopped producing earlier than I think they really should have. I might try Sunburst that sounds good!

I grew Taxi last year & the year before. Had one good year (the first year) but then last year they were rubbish in all that rain, not many produced and lots rotted before they were pollinated. They were nice courgettes though, not thick-skinned.

Goldrush for me!
They seem less squishy than the green ones.
And popped on a barbie , yum yum.
Try one plant in a pot in the greenhouse for a very early crop.
