I have sown some courgette, marrow, squash plants and haven't had time to pot them up yet, and they are looking rather lanky. Do you think they will be okay once I pot them up or are they a lost cause?

Below your 'garden' there's a selection of 'T' shaped (bushes?). Below those, there's a linear feature. Have you thought of contacting Time Team?

That's not a garden, that's a county! Nice.
Mine (courgettes) seemed to pretty much die last year, but they soon recovered. Then we had courgette after courgette after courgette....A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/
