Haven't got a clue, but, as they do not look that healthy anyway, I would be inclined to sow again.
Do not throw the originals away, just photograph the alien when it bursts out.
Feed the soil, not the plants.
(helps if you have cluckies)
"Most of the time the dog vomit slime mold lives as a single cell, surviving underground or inside dead wood and engulfing food. It’s when times are tough—for instance, when they run out of food—that the cells come together to move around in these large masses called slugs."
Mostly flowers, some fruit and veg, at the seaside in Edinburgh.
It does seem to be some type of mold, it wasn't there yesterday. Whatever it is, it grew really fast!
I don't think there is anything living inside it, i.e an insect.
It appears to have mycelium on its perimeter spreading outwards and its very soft to touch.
Interestingly, i have my squashes/courgettes growing on a wood chip hot bed, i think it must have come from that
This is what happens when you join a friendly veg growers forum.
There i was, year in, year out, sowing courgettes in May/June with reasonable success.
Then, I join a "grow fruit and veg" forum called the Grapevine and become a grape. I get all excited, and suddenly start to do thing differently! I make a VC style wood chip hot bed and all hell breaks loose, I even sow squashes in March.
Now I have a grotesque yellow blob threatening the very existence of everything.
It's all your fault vine
Only joking, I love it really.

Reason: Missed off the grape in grapevine
may well be related to whatever is munching the leaves.? ,
Perhaps you should be more concerned about finding out whats eating them ?.
Where are your plants growing .?
Are they sown in new modules or Reused after washing and sterilizing.?
Is the compost new or recycled etc .?
If it is Dogs vomit , google it. Seems harmless to both Humans and plants.
Gp
