Slight panic

Have been potting on some tomatoes today and had a slight panic trying to work out where I�m going to put all my tomatoes, chilli, cucumbers and basil pots until it�s warm enough that I can put them out in the greenhouse. Can�t remember when I can start at least putting them out during the day. Maybe after the clocks go back?

Happens every year, but worse this year since I am growing about 50 chillis. Am blaming vine encouragement for that daft idea!

Mine go out when the temperature in the GH is above 10C. They've been out every day for several weeks and don't seem to have suffered.
Courgettes and cucumbers are left out overnight in the GH, covered with bubblewrap.

Really! Mind you I’m in the chilly north. My greenhouse is getting up to 20/30 but down to nearly 0 so maybe too soon for my sensitive wee plants.

Yup you guys are a bad influence. It will be ages before I can put the chillis out. Have loads that are sharing a module so need to get those potted up. Btw the couple that germinated in the pot of ‘dust’ are still tiny. Wonder what the hell they are.

I usually start putting mine out during the day in April. But they can go out one day and not go out again for over a week. Just depends what the weather is doing. They could of gone out for a few hours today but it was to windy ( tunnel is quite a walk from the house, the wind would damage them ).

Glad I am not the only one with to many plants. Snow falling like mad, cold and windy but loads of stuff in the greenhouse. My wife has just given up with me, boys and toys.

Aah been trying to attach photos but keep getting an error message. Wondering if he file is too big. Is there an app or other easy way to compress iPhone photos that people use?

I grow all my seeds in my he greenhouse, I am not allowed bring plants or seeds into the house ( there was a slight accident once that did a little bit of damage to a wooden floor) as I have electricity in the greenhouse I use a heat cable to make a propagation bench, and once the seedlings are big enough they are moved out of the hot bed and I keep a fan running all the time as moving air prevents freezing, if I think it needs better protection I cover the plants with fleece, I also have a home made wood burner but that just to keep the greenhouse warm while I am working in it, for some reason my OH won't go out to keep the fire on overnight

Had a good laugh at your post. "I am not allowed plants or seeds in the house". When my wife and I were just going out before marriage I used to bring boxes of heather cuttings home and pot them up there even getting a hand at times. Now get those dirty boots off. Glad I am not the only coward.
