      Thanks Scarlet that gives me food for thought, perhaps I was getting carried away thinking of having those big pots indoors, and a few smaller pots with smaller varieties will be plenty.

        Having different chilli varieties next to each other on the windowsill, is that a bad idea due to cross pollination if they happen to touch? I wonder if it's better to keep the same varieties next to each other.

          Not a problem if you are just going to eat the produce.
          You can isolate the flowers before they open if you are going to try and save seed.
