Seed Circle Swap 1 2010-2011

Only these:
Golden Nugget Squash
White Emergo runner bean (dry it for use as a butter bean)


I may be able to add more as the season goes on, but I just can't get my head around it at the moment.

Nooooo, stay, its all going to be a bit mad but great fun. Lots of things have been listed but it is being narrowed down to two items per person.

I think I shall grow Bird's Egg climbing bean and Magnum Bonum pea for the circle. Also some toms - but I haven't decided which yet. I have some new ones (to me) and I'm going to eat one or two before I decide!

I'm still struggling over what to grow for the circle, I’m thinking any 2 of the following;
Mange tout-Winterkefe,
Root Parsley-Halflange Fakir,
Beetroot-Chioggia,
Raddish-Hilds blauer Herbst und Winter or White icicle
Lettuce-Black Seeded Simpson.

Doesn't have to be any of the above, as I'm not sure what others would like, anyone got any preference?

I'll save Lablab Beans as no one has mentioned them plus some tomato seeds. Will also save the Dedo de Mocha sweet pepper seeds.

Hi all,
Sorry for my silence on here so far.....
Having read the seed saving advice I think it's best if I save some tomato seeds for the circle as I a) am new to seed saving and b) have a relatively small space and neighbours on both sides who grow their own so can't guarantee isolation for things that easily cross pollinate. I will try saving other things too but toms are the safest bet for the circle. I will also be trying to save chilli seeds and will grow the plants I want to save from indoors in order to be able to isolate the varieties. I was quite seed poor, having never saved any before but a trip to Nicky's Nurseries site has provided me with a few interesting chilli and tomato varieties. I have also been spoilt by RT as he sent me a seed parcel. I haven't included those on the list though as there are only a few seeds of each so none to share further until they've been grown I'm afraid.
The list below are all my pre-RT toms and chillies, I am still trying to decide which ones to grow but may have a few spare seeds if any grapes are interested in a particular variety.... I know some have already been offered.

It certainly is Andrea. If anyone else has suggestions for which toms I should try this year, please feel free to suggest as I am somewhat spoilt for choice now

Another vote for Bloody Butcher tom. Incy, your Garden Peach tom sounds very similar to my Wapsipinicon tom - both have the fuzzy skin.

I vote for the Bloody Butcher too I had a few of those from SBP, but the seeds I saved from them got lost

I'm going to save (this year):

Bridgewater climbing bean
Brighstone dwarf bean

because I know both of those do well on my plot.

and either: Purple Ukraine tomato (a purple plum), or, Auntie Madge's tomato. Depending which does best.

Unless anyone prefers me to do anything different...


I'll also offer any of the other OP varieties I'm growing for seed (that do well enough to share) as first dibs to the circle before offering on the main swap board.

Im just wondering if up you either have acouple of chinese five colour or numex twilight seeds going spare? Feel a bit cheeky with all the discussion re seed exchange going on! Would only need a couple and either one or the other?
We did chillis last year but were a bit unsuccesful, we think its linked to the peat free compost we used? No worries if not.
