my god, i was knackered after just going down there and then fetching some freecycle stuff, and I still have to gird my loins and go out. Sounds like you had a fun-packed busy day
I was after some mace but forgot to ask about it, doh!

They had mace too - I saw it! We were shattered when we got back - 2am this morning - still haven't recovered really. I use mace in my leek and potato soup - adds a certain something. I got something called Betony too -not sure what it is. Suppose I should look it up. Had she sold all her black parsley plants? Garden designer let her down.

        damn!
no, she still had loads left, I didn't even look at the price tag after seeing how much the smaller ones were. I'd have made the designer eat it personally....
never mind, relax tonight and recover tomorrow

If I go again next year - I'll buy one and split it. I didn't get a black parsley either. Rosemary and mint are two of our biggest herb uses so that's what I focused on - also got a pretty thyme but I tend to have most of the common herb others.
Relaxing and recovering on the sofa whilst nursing a bowl of courgette and tatty soup - whoever posted that recipe it is very nice.

I have always enjoyed my visits to Jekkas, She and staff are very knowledgeable and helpful but i only live 40mins away.

You can always get plants posted to you from Jekkas. Just a thought

No we did - just expected a bit more I suppose given the prices. Paid £8.50 for a cold cheese which should have been baked. Also the talk was brief which was a real shame.
