Flower of the Day for a year - a Challenge!

Another Salvia Macrophyllia, grown from seed �acquired� from one of the communal flower tubs!

I live the softness of the pink shades with this variety Roitelet.

My Flower is a French Marigold in need of deadheading

Strangely enough, I usually spend a fair bit of time dead heading my flowers, yet this year I haven't done it as often as normal and my plants still look ok

Liatris - much loved by pollinators so one of my must have plants. Just beginning to open from the top downwards attracting clouds of bees and butterflies to the nectar rich flowers. An undemanding easy to grow plant tolerant of any soil.

My Flower's another French Marigold - a double one. I bought them as mixed seedlings in the corner shop, to plant in the GH with the tomatoes. Not sure whether they've kept the whitefly away but I haven't seen any of the little pests yet.

Beautiful colour Veggie. One reason with plants like violas or marigolds I like to collect the seed is - you just don’t know what flower you will get - that one you have in this photo is a nice one.

I save the seeds of just about everything! Aquilegias are great for surprises!!

This Hibiscus always reminds me of Raspberry Ripple ice cream.

I'm bending the rules a bit for my flower - its an orchid (indoors)! Bought a few years ago, yellow stickered for �1.50. This must be its 4th round of flowers.

The honeysuckle still persists in flowering. Clusters of shiny red berries but as this photo shows also still lots of flowers. What a king�s ransom Dior or Chanel would pay to learn the honeysuckles� secret!
