Suggest a plant, please - big pot, north facing wall

    Well, always one to make quick decisions, I have now filled the pot and taken on board lots of the above suggestions. Sort of
    In the end we went for something sculptural - I was thinking topiary at first, but as the space is dark I thought that might not work. So we have a standard variagated holly and I'll pop some bulbs in for spring colour. I have lots of hostas in pots so they look quite nice together.

    I've put a climbing hydrangea up against the wall straight into the ground. Fingers crossed for it.

    And a Japanese quince a bit further around on the east corner.
