Can Sweet Peas 'trail'?

One year I had a lot going on so the sweet peas just grew tumberling over the grass.Looked a bit wild but the flowered fine. Sounds like shes having fun anyway.

Reminds me of the bit in Victorian Flower Garden, where they laid twigs on the ground and planted Clematis to spread over a flower bed, rather than grow upwards. Hmmm, might look good with Sweet Peas...

Oh, she is having fun. Doesn't quite dig the seeds up to see if they've grown yet, but does keep looking out of the window in hopes of seeing green - every hour or so!
