  • When should I plant my wildflowers so they are blooming in August?

    Hello there,

I am a complete gardening novice, and have decided to try and grow some wildflowers from seed for my wedding in august. A wee bit over ambitious maybe, but I'm going to give it a shot!

I have picked flowers that you can sew directly, but I have no idea when this should be done, I'm worried they might flower too early if I sew them now. I have gone for cornflower, field sabious, corn cockle, corn camomile, harebell, white campion and cosmos bipinnatus purity.

Any tips on how to make the most of these seeds would be most gratefully recieved

Unless the pack says later, they will need to go in pretty soon to be sure of an August display.

Thank you Andrea, I'm going to be sewing them this weekend. Any tips on how it is best to sew the seeds?

We scatter them about and leave them be!
